Aquamatic an automatic computerized hot water filling system for filling your resurfacer. This filling system can save you money, time and energy. All you have to do is to put your hot water hose into the filling conduit on your resurfacer and push the start button on the control unit and walk away. When the resurfacer begins to overflow, a water sensor on the overflow port of the resurfacer water tank sends a radio signal to the Ice Makers control unit, which shuts off the hot water. A filled alarm is sounded that can be heard from a distance to tell the operator that the resurfacer is filled and the fill hose can be removed. You also have the option to start filling at a preset 24 hour or a timer (min & hours) fill time from the time the hot water hose is inserted in the filling conduit. You can self install this filling system in 1 ½ hours.

We are quite excited about this product and think this can save you money in one or two ways. One way is saving on wasted water delivery and heating cost. For example, if your rink wastes 15 minutes or more per day in overfilling* you will save at least $1500 per year. If you run a six month rink you would save at least $750 a year. If you waste much more hot water than this or use a more expensive heating utility energy source (oil ($1952 per year), propane ($2456 per year) or electricity ($3734 per year) ) the savings is even greater.

The other way is by savings on labor cost. You are paying your operator to watch your resurfacer fill while he could be doing some other necessary task that he would have to do later or by someone else as the resurfacer is filling. For example you are paying out a labor cost of $10.00 per hour for filling the resurfacer 6 times a day spending 10mins on each fill watching the resurfacer filling. One hour a day of labor is lost and a total of 7 hours a week, 52 weeks a year for a total savings of 364 hours a year at a cost of $3640 a year. If you run a six month rink you would save $1820 a year. If your labor or wasted time is greater you will save even more. With these savings you will pay for this device usually in under a year.
